  Watis Elbridge STAFFORD married Rebecca McLinn in 1887 in Indiana and moved to Kansas. They first lived in Washington, Kansas (JacksonCounty), and then Melvern and Valley Brook in Osage County, Kansas. James Elbridge STAFFORD said in 2017 that Watis was invited to move to Kansas by Rebecca’skinfolk, who lived in Kansas. Sometime after Rebecca’s death in 1931, Watis moved out to Los Angles, California, to live with his daughter Eva. Rebecca and Watis had four children
