  Ernest James Stafford Sr., 55, of 201 Bryant Road died Nov. 21, 2002, at his home after a brief illness. A native of Spartanburg County, he was a son of Rosa Lee Miller Stafford of the home and the late Joseph Homer Stafford. He was formerly employed with Ashmore Asphalt Company and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to his mother are three sons, Ernest James Stafford Jr. and Donald William Stafford, both of Pacolet and Roger Millwood of Union; a stepdaughter, Amy Padgett of Pacolet; two sisters, Lillian Crawford and Carolyn Beard, both of Pacolet; four brothers, Doodle Stafford of Walterboro, Troy Lee Stafford of Shelby, N.C., Robert Stafford of Pacolet and Buddy Lewis Stafford of Columbia; and 11 grandchildren.
