  Per his death certificate found on Ancestry.com: he was a son of J. A. Mims and (blank) and the husband of Mrs. Eva Howell Mims. He was a general merchandise salesman. He died at home at RFD# 4 Bluff Road of metastatic liver failure due to carcinoma of the rectum. The informant was Belton Mims Jr. of West Columbia, S.C. The posted obituary was found in The State 22 August 1953.
