  She was a daughter of John and Mary Polly Davis Stafford. She first married Sylvester Burgess. They were the parents of Benjamin Franklin, Peter Taylor, Mary Elizabeth and John Stafford Burgess. After his death, she married Oliver David Botner. They were the parents of Christopher Columbus (Mary Letitia Borders), Lydia Ann (Milton Franklin Swetnam), Calista (Joseph Layne), Malinda (Davis Stafford Wellman), Emma (Matthew McClure Elam), Julia Hester (John Martin & Christopher S. Thompson) and Amanda Victoria "Mandy" (Theodore Francis David, Mr. Dobbins and Mr. Hunter). The Big Sandy News Louisa, Kentucky June 6, 1889 Died, yesterday evening, at the home of her son-in-law Mr. Davis Wellman, near this place, Mrs. O.D. Botner, aged about seventy years.
