(Fred) Stafford, age 73, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 1991, at Grandview Hospital, after an extended illness. He was born February 7, 1918, in Thor, KY. Son of S.J. Stafford, deceased, and Dora Hale Stafford, Indianapolis, IN. He was a WWII Veteran in the U.S. Army & Pearl Harbor survivor. He attended the Christian Church of Vanceburg, Ky. Member of American Legion Post 200 in Huber Heights. Survived by his wife of 46 years, Margaret (Bate) Stafford, Vanceburg, Ky.; daughters, Linda E. Stafford, Boca Raton, FL., Jeanne Plummer & Barbara McCann, Huber Heights, and Sandra Jo Kinsel, Dayton; sisters, Violet Brumfield, Vanceburg, KY., June Irvin, Middletown, OH and Ginger Bowling, Indianapolis, IN.; 4 grandchildren, Stephen Frederick Kinsel, Harry Davis Hawley, Sarah McCann and Jason Matthew Plummer. Preceded in death by 5 brothers & 2 sisters. Funeral service Monday, August 19 at 1 p.m. at the Dickerson Funeral Home, Vanceburg, KY., Rev. Bruce Stauffer officiating. Burial Lewis County Memory Gardens, Vanceburg. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. to the time of the service on Monday.
