Mr. Jackie Ray Stafford age 63, of Sandy Hook, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 10th, 2020, at Elliott Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Jack was born February 11th, 1956 in Morgan County, Kentucky a son of Dorthalene Ison Fugate of Flatwoods, Kentucky and the late James Milton Stafford.
Jack was a heavy equipment operator and coal miner. He was of Christian faith and he was a member of the Hepburn Masonic Lodge # 576 F&A.M. Jack enjoyed fishing, hunting, doing community service and spending time with his family and friends. in addition to his father he is preceded in death by his spouse, Jenifer Lee Stafford; his step-father, William Fugate; one brother, Phillip Stafford.
In addition to his mother he is survived by one son, Shawn Stafford (Angela Wagoner) of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; one daughter, Mary Jacqueline Adkins (Kevin) of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; one brother, Danny Lee Stafford of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one sister, Deborah Gayle Stafford of Flatwoods, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Carolyn Grace Adkins, Kamilla Jewel Adkins, Chloe Mae Adkins, Jacob Scott Fraley, Raven Alexandra Fraley, Brooklyn Shaleigh Stafford; and his furry companion, Apollo. He also leaves behind many family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 15th, 2020, in the chapel of Whitt & Sons Funeral Home with Brother Jason Ison and Brother Charles Skaggs Officiating. Burial will follow in the Ison Cemetery on Pruetts Fork, Sandy Hook, Kentucky.
Masonic rites will be held 12 p.m. Noon at the funeral home by the Hepburn Masonic Lodge # 576 F&A.M. Friends may visit 12 p.m.Noon Wednesday, January 15th, 2020, until the service hour 2 p.m. At the funeral home.
Larry Skaggs, Eddie Fannin, Chris Shaffer, Roger Parsons, Bryan Jenkins, Larry Cox, Jacob Fraley, Dave Smith, will serve as pallbearers. Danny Stafford, Ricky Cox, Galen Conley, Kevin Adkins, Carl Parsons, Elliott County Nursing Home staff, and Hepburn Masonic Lodge # 576 F&A.M. Will serve as honorary pallbearers.
A special thank you to the staff at Elliott Nursing & Rehab for the care, friendship, and laughs that he received while there. He loved you all and cherished the friends he made. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
