• Notes

  Abraham Lemaster was born in France in 1639 and came to America in 1668. He settled in the southern part of Maryland, in Charles County. His property was called "Betty's Delight", probably named for his wife, Elizabeth. He had made out a will on 20 Sep 1722 and it was recorded for probate on 11 Dec 1722 in the Hall of Records at Annapolis, Maryland. His will gave his son John Lemaster the dwelling plantation and son Isaac Lemaster the tract of land he was living on. His wife, Elizabeth, was to have use of the dwelling plantation during her life and his daughter, Anne Lemaster, was to dwell on some part of land during her husband's absence. Abraham's will listed six children and designated his son John Lemaster as executor.
