  Hager Hill resident Raymond Spears, 64, died October 25 in Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. Mr. Spears was born Sep 26, 1919 in Johnson County, the son of Marcus and Ida McFaddin Spears. He was a retired teacher for Paintsville High School and a member of the United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Imogene Stafford Spears; two brothers, Charles and Marcus Spears, Hager Hill; and three sisters, Emogene Spears and Edna Deakin, Hager Hill and Irene Yates, Vero Beach, FL. Funeral services were held October 28 in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Graham Abbott officiating. Burial was in Mayo Cemetery at Paintsville.
