  The Winfield Tribune Winfield, Kansas Friday, September 9, 1892 Page 3 James M. Stafford, an old and respected citizen, died last Saturday, at 3 o'clock. He was a genial gentleman and had the warm friendship of all who knew him. On Monday his body was taken to it's last resting place, the funeral services being conducted by the masonic fraternity, of which he was a member. About forty knights Templar joined in the procession and assisted in performing the last sad rights to a brother Sir Knight. Mr. Stafford leaves a faithful loving wife and three grown up sons to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate husband and parent. The entire community mourns his loss.
