Evelyn Stafford of Blackberry City Matewan, WV born on November 30, 1922, at Blackberry City a daughter of the late Lon and Reatha Mullins Chapman departed this life on Thursday September 7, 2017, at her home. Evelyn was 94 years old.
In addition to her parents those that precede her in death include her husband Earl Stafford, son Mark R. Stafford, brothers Broddus Chapman, Lon Jr. Chapman, Fred Chapman and Truman Chapman and a sister Kathleen Thompson.
Evelyn was a homemaker and was loved by her children that survive her namely her sons Roger Stafford and his wife Betty of Gaston, SC and Chester Stafford and his wife Lahoma Jean of Clovis, CA and a daughter Eva Truesdale and her husband Don of Fresno CA. Evelyn is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren she will be sadly missed by her loved ones and her neighbors of Blackberry City, WV.
The family will gather on Sunday evening September 10, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Chambers Funeral Services Chapel.
A private graveside service will then be held on Monday September 11, 2017, at the Mountain View Memory Gardens of Huddy, KY.
