Virgil E. Sizemore, 68, of Oceana, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born April 10, 1940, in Logan County, he was the son of the late Elba Sizemore (Deceased) and Edith Scites-Sizemore (Deceased).
Mr. Sizemore was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a member of the UMWA. He enjoyed working, watching TV and playing with his dogs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Dreama Lea Sizemore (1964-1971); stepgreat-grandchild, Jaiden Mackenzie Bailey (2005-2008); two brothers, Rev. James Henry Sizemore (1939-2000) and Leonard Sizemore (Deceased); three sisters, Redith Sizemore-Banks (Deceased), Mary Louise Sizemore (Deceased) and Kay Sizemore-Calloway (Deceased).
Survivors include his wife, Anna Ruth Stafford-Sizemore (1935-2012); daughters, Darlene Sizemore-Stoneman of Parkersburg and Toni Sizemore-Belcher of Oceana; stepdaughter, Diane Belcher and her husband, Charles, of Oceana; four grandchildren, Crystal and Eugene Cline; Joshua Belcher and Taneka Stoneman; a great-grandchild, Little Anna Cline; two stepgrandchildren, Melissa Hatfield and her husband Nick and Miranda Bailey and her husband Eugene; brother, Roger Sizemore and his wife, Linda, of Melrose Park, Ill.; four sisters, Doris Schuch and her husband, Richard, of Bartlett, Ill., Peggy Denison of Oklahoma, Regina Hischer and her husband, Dale, of Rush, Minn., Debbie Hunter of Danville, W.Va.
