Kenneth Lee Stafford, 75, of 2011 West Main Street in Princeton, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at his residence.
Born April 1, 1932 in McComas, he was the son of the late Miles Lee and Margaret Cleo Sargeant Stafford. He was retired with thirty-five years service from Kentucky Central Life Insurance now known as Liberty Life Insurance Company and was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean War.
Kenneth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton. He was an avid antique car collector and won numerous car show trophies throughout the years for his restoration work. He was a member of the Bluestone Antique Car Club, Yesterday's Rides and Antique Cars of America. He was a member of the Princeton Masonic Lodge No. 134, AF & AM, Bluefield Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Princeton Chapter No. 44 Royal Arch Masons, Bluefield Commandery No. 19, Knights Templar and the Beni Kedem Shrine Temple in Charleston. He was a strong supporter of the Appalachian Teen Challenge.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Frances Carol Scott Stafford of Princeton; one son, Kenneth Lane Stafford and wife Ronda of Princeton; one daughter, Julie Ann Crouch of Dublin, Va.; five grandchildren, Phillip Lee Stafford and wife Angie, Candace Crouch, Amanda Finkbeiner and husband Josh, Kalah Crouch, and Aaron Miles and his fiancée Roxanne England; one great-grandson, Caleb Finkbeiner; one brother, Beryl Kinzer of Bluefield; and two sisters, Betty Profitt and husband Benjy of Alexandria, Va., and Rita Jo Smith of Hagerstown, Md.
