Ernestine S. Parcell, 85, of Rich Creek, Va., passed away Saturday September 9, 2006 at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek. Born March 25, 1921 at Bear Spring, Va. she was the daughter of the late Kyle and Sadie Kirk Stafford. Mrs. Parcell was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church, Rich Creek, Va. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Parcell, one daughter, Therry Ann Parcell, eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons, Gerald S. "Jerry" Parcell and wife, Brenda of Pearisburg, Va., Tony Parcell and wife Cheryl of Radford, Va.; one daughter, Pamela Lucas of Maynardville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Neil and Jill Parcell, Michelle and Rob Irving, Karla Bowden, Ashley McCowen, Megan, Paul, and Wesley Parcell; three great-grandchildren, Blair, Andrew, and Alyssa. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday September 12, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church, Rich Creek, VA., with Rev. Aubrey Whitlow officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Rich Creek, Va. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday September 11, 2006 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, W.Va., and at the church one hour prior to services.
