Thomas "Tim" Stafford, age 92, of Fairview, Texas, passed away June 19, 2014, in Dallas, Texas. Tim was born February 7, 1922, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Thomas Lee and Zepherina (Williamson) Stafford. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years during World War II. Tim worked in the insurance business for a number of years. He was always active in his church and sang in the choir of the First Presbyterian Church of Flourtown, Pennsylvania for many years and most recently he was a member of Suncreek United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas. Tim loved the activities at Heritage Ranch including participating in the Heritage Ranch Chorale, using the exercise room daily and was a part of the flag group placing flags for patriotic holidays. He was a member of the Friendship Masonic Lodge in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. Tim was a fitness enthusiast, but more than anything he was known as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his son, Douglas Stafford and wife, Loretta of Plano, Texas; grandson, Kevin Eaton and wife, Bené of Houston, Texas; nephew, Paul and Paula Buckley and their children, Patty and Scott Murray and children, Paul and Jen Buckley and children; other niece and nephew, Stephanie Doyle, and Rick and Barb Doyle; and cousin, Jane Scott and her children, Ardan Shaw and husband, Thomas and their daughter and Robbyn Scott and her children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Dottie) Stafford.
