  I have a Death Cert. for James J.S. Stafford b-3 Mar 1798, Giles Co VA, d-8 Jun 1882,Giles Co VA. Father of Dr. Daniel Hoge Stafford. This official death record lists his parents as James J. and Mariah Stafford. His Consort is listed, as Jane Stafford (could be his great aunt?).
