Margaret Lucille Lowry Phillips, age 92 , wife of the late Willie D. Phillips, was born on August 25, 1921 and died on December 2, 2013. She was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughter, Carolyn Hamby of Oneonta; son, Steven Phillips of Oneonta; granddaughters, Rebecca Davis (Stevie) of Oneonta and Leah Hamby of Birmingham; grandson, William Phillips of Tuscaloosa; great grandchildren, Beth Cox (Mark) of Arab, Cindi Adamson of Oneonta and Joey Davis (Brooke) of Arkansas; great-great grandchildren, Braxton Nall of Oneonta, Karissa LuAnn Cox and Chelsey Cox both of Arab; step great-great grandchildren, Markie Cox, Taylor Cox, McKinsey Cox and Jasmine Cox all of Arab.
Besides her husband she is preceded in death by parents, Jesse B. and Cora Mae Lowry; brother, Jack Lowry; and sister, Irene Gargus.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11AM at Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Bill Barnett and Eric Hixson officiating.
Pallbearers: Johnny Lowry, Eric Hixon, Sonny Hixon, Joey Davis, William Phillips, Mark Cox and Stevie Davis.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Union Hill Baptist Church or Oak Hill Cemetery.
