Orland Lawson Stafford was born February 7, 1909, in Republic County, the son of Lawson and Lula Larsen Stafford, and died December 22, 1982, at Brodstone Memorial-Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior, Neb., at the age of 73 years, 10 months, 15 days.
He was a farmer and had spent his lifetime on the Stafford family farm in Republic County, southeast of Hardy, where he was raised. He was a graduate of Hardy High School and attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
He was a member of the Union Church of Hardy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; Leland, Samuel and Earl; a sister; Clara Brainard.
He is survived by three sisters; Mrs. Lila Scott of Hardy, Mrs. Mae Conzelman of Long Beach, Calif., and Miss Eunice Stafford of Hardy; two nieces; Sandra Schroeder of El Torro, Calif., and Barbara Daneu of Dearborn, Mich., a nephew Clarence Conzelman of Santa Anna, Calif.
