  Belleville (KS) Telescope - 7 Jun 1928 Arthur Holmes Arthur Holmes, formerly a Republic boy, but lately employed in a packing house at St. Joseph, Mo., passed away last following an operation for appendicitis. Mr. Holmes attended the Republic schools and was converted to the Christian faith at a revival here joining the Methodist church when Rev. Parrolt was pastor. He had been at St. Joseph for some time, was married and had a little son, 9 days old. Burial was made beside his brother, Lennie, who died only six weeks ago.
