  Belleville (KS) Telescope - 19 Apr 1928 Lena (sic) Holmes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett (sic) Holmes, passed away Wednesday night after a short illness of the flu which developed into pneumonia. Added by Kenneth E Holmes. Lennie's nephew Lennie was born to Leslie Evert and Bessie (Stafford) Holmes on a farm near Byron NE and died on a farm near Republic KS. Lennie was nearly 19 years old when he died. Lennie was buried in Washington Cemetery near his parents.
