Marjorie Roberson
Marjorie Marie Roberson, one of 10 children born to Leslie Everett (sic) and Bessie Gertrude Stafford Holmes, was born on a farm near Byron, Nebr., June 9, 1911, and died at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior, Nebr., September 13, 1991, at the age of 80 years, three months and four days.
She was educated at Washington Rural School near Byron in Kansas.
In 1930 she was married Albert E Gray. This union was blessed with five children.
On July 12, 1956, she was married Cyrus Robert Roberson.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Superior the past 13 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cyrus on June 12, 1978, and four brothers, Lenny, Arthur, Norman and Edson Holmes.
She is survived by; her children, Stewart Gray of Gonzales, La., Mrs. Ralph (Charlotte) Knehans, Dan A Gray, both of Superior, Mrs. Ron (Shirley) Kendall of Apple Valley, Calif., Darrell L. Gray of Phoenix, Ariz.; four brothers, Elmer Holmes of Cozad, nebr., Irvin "Bill" Holmes of Rosamond, Calif., Kenneth Holmes of Waco, Tex., Lee Holmes of Byron; one sister Velma Jones of Belleville; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held September 17 from Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, with Pastors Leland Smith and Ken Fairbrother officiating. Burial was in Washington Cemetery near Byron.
