Obituary Martinsville newspaper April 22, 1938
Mrs. Hallie Losh Walls, age 45, died at her home Friday after an illness with tuberculosis. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane and Eva Rose and two sons Robert and Abe, one grandchild and three sisters, Flora Bourman (sic) of Chicago, Lena Stafford and Stella Powell and three brothers Elzie of Chicago, Albert and Grover of Brooklyn. A sister, Mary and two brothers, William and Walter, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Sunday at 2 p.m. by Rev. Arthur Jean. Mrs. Ralph Smith and Martha Ann Jean sang. Mrs. Rose Minton wrote and read the obituary. The pall bearers were Lincoln, Howard, and Paul Stafford, Harold Powell, Elzie Losh and Howard Losh. Flowers were carried by school mates of Mary Jane, Phyllis Passmore, Janice Clark, Clara Powell. Burial was at Brooklyn. A large number attended the services.
