Martinsville Daily Reporter obituary

Martha Dearlove Bailey, 80, of Martinsville, died from natural causes at 11:42 p.m. March 6, 2000, at Kennedy Living Center. Born Jan. 30, 1920, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Zelma Summers Stafford. She married Jack Dearlove in 1948. He died in 1971. On Feb. 14, 1975, she married William B. Bailey, who died march 14, 1996. Mrs. Bailey graduated from Eminence High School in 1939. The homemaker had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Martinsivlle for the past 15 years. Prior to that she was a member of Corinth Baptist Church at Plano. At the age of 2 Martha was diagnosed with polio and was not expected to live past the age of 10.
Survivors include one son, Tim Dearlove of Martinsville; one daughter, Cindy Goodman of Martinsville; six grandchildren, Jennifer Flick, Tim Dearlove, Trent, Nick and Cassie Goodman and Trenda Atwell, and four great-grandchildren.
