PUNTA GORDA, Fla. - Thomas H. Stafford, of Punta Gorda, Fla., and formerly of Denton, Md., died on Friday, June 3, 2011. Born on July 24, 1932, Tom was the son of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Stafford. Tom served in the US Army during the Korean War. Following that, he worked for the DuPont Company for 41 years before retiring to Punta Gorda, Fla. Tom is survived by his sons, Thomas H. Stafford of Bridgeville, Keith Stafford of Port Charlotte, Fla., David Stafford of Federalsburg, Md.; and daughters, Kathy Richards of Avon Park, Fla., Jo Ellen Algier of Greenwood, and Dawn Figg of Lake Wales, Fla. He is also survived by brothers, Frederick Stafford of Preston, Md., and Bradley Stafford of Greensboro, Md.; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Stafford in 2006. Friends and family are invited to attend an 11 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011, Celebration of Life service at the Concord United Methodist Church cemetery. Arrangements are made by Moore Funeral Home, 12 S. 2nd Street, Denton, Md.
