(Divorced from) Major James Powell who died in the Civil War at Shiloh, leaving her with *Jimmy* (who was with his father for seven years ~ from age five ~ while in the 1st US Infantry and had to find his way home after his father's death), Winfield Scott, and Albert Tracy.
