Kaaren E. Stafford Bailey, 69, of Albany, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at her residence. Born July 31, 1942, in Painesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Sidney Shannon and Ruth Elizabeth Angle Shannon Bond.
She was a breeder, seller and buyer of horses. Kaaren was a member of Christ Community Wesleyan Church, the American Arabian Horse Association, American Saddlebred Horse Association and the American Pinto Horse Association.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, Joseph H. Stafford; a son, Thomas James Geary; and brothers Stanley Shannon and Malcolm Shannon.
