MUSTARD, William Buford, 83, of Pearisburg, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at the Riverview Nursing Home, Rich Creek. He was born November 22, 1920 at Berton, Va., the son of the late James Alfred and Flossie Ellen Lindsey Mustard. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Stafford Mustard; a grandson, Stacey Wade Smith; a son-in-law, Wilson L. Dickerson. He was a retired employee of Hoechst-Celanese with 46 years service, a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II and a member of the Bearspring United Methodist Church. He is survived by his second wife, Mary Vest Mustard, Pearisburg; two daughters and son-in-law, Marilyn Mustard, Pearisburg, Brenda and Wimpy Williams, Pembroke; great-granddaughter, Rachel O. Smith and her mother, Trina H. Lucss, Pearisburg; two brothers, Kyle Mustard, Pearisburg; Tuck Mustard, Andersonville, Tenn.; two sisters, Opal M. Kirk, Pearisburg, Eva Mae Lafon, Rich Creek; four stepsons, Daniel W. Stewart and family, Marietta, Ga., Jeffrey P. Stewart and family, Narrows, Gregory G. Stewart, Richmond, Steven D. Stewart, Pearisburg; sister-in-law, Mary Margaret Stafford, Pearisburg; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Bearspring United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Olinger and Rev. Kim Goddard officiating. Burial in the Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. Visiting will be at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate on Friday after 3 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
