STAFFORD, Ruth Booher Age 95, a lifelong resident of Beavercreek, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Paul Orville Stafford; parents, Edgar H. and Eva C. Booher, and daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Sonny Capps. She is survived by children, David and Esther Stafford of Huber Heights, Donald and Wanda Stafford of Xenia, Thomas and Barbara Stafford of Xenia, Jerry and Cindy Stafford of Beavercreek, Dr. James and Vickie Stafford of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Benjamin, Sarah and Phillip Stafford; Teresa Wise, Christine Lyons, Thomas Spalding, Larry Neely, Deborah Capps and Barbara Capps Nauss; Larry Stafford and Amanda Stafford Kerschbaum; Jill Adams, Mark Niswander, Craig Niswander and Amy Stafford; Nathaniel, Justin and Stephen Stafford; Taryn Stafford Camp, Michael Stafford, Amanda Bell, Lindsey Stewart, Jason Sappenfield; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ruth was the last surviving member of the BHS Class of 1937, a graduate of Cedarville College, a teacher and a farmer. She retired from the Beavercreek City Schools and was a member of Hawker United Church of Christ. Ruth was also a lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Reds and UD Flyers. Her great-grandfather, Levi Neff Booher, was the first Mayor of Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 1:00 pm, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Monday, June 8, 2015.
