Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Ray Stafford, 69, of Whitleyville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 P.M. – 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services.
He passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN.
He was born September 15, 1944, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Jordan "Stormy" Stafford and Ocie Stafford. On November 18, 1972, he was married to Cathy Sircy Stafford, who survives. He was a mechanic and construction worker, and a member of the Beech Grove Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister and 2 Brothers.
Survivors include his Wife: Cathy Sircy Stafford of Whitleyville, TN; 4 Sons: Duane Stafford of Florida, and Jason Stafford, Cain Stafford, and Joshua Stafford, all of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Rhonda McDowell of Whitleyville, TN; 9 Grandchildren: Whitney Stafford, Kayley Stafford, Isaiah Stafford, Hannah Stafford, Abagail Stafford, Chad McDowell, Anna McDowell, Isaac Stafford, and Aleasia Stafford; and 1 Brother: Harold Stafford of Gainesboro, TN.
Bro. David Sisco and Bro. Dan Huffines will officiate at the services.
