  New Castle News 26 Sep 1974 page 3 Herman F. Stafford RNITURE ELLWOOD CITY – Herman F. Stafford, 77, of Fombell RD 1, was dead on arrival at 7:30 a.m. today at Ellwood City Hospital following an extended illness. He was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio Sept. 25,1897. He retired in 1960 from the George K. Garrett Co. where he was a press operator. He was a former coal miner in Ohio. He is survived by his wife, the former Pearl A. Phillippi; five sons, James, Kenneth and Donald, all of Millersburg, Ohio, Herman F. Jr. of Ellwood City, George R. of Fombell RD 1; three daughters, Miss Joyce and Miss Jean, both of Millersburg, Miss Minnie P. of Wurtemburg; two stepsons, Robert J. Reisinger of Ellwood City, Joseph C. Reisinger of Glendale, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Viola Jewell of New Philadelphia, Ohio; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Vernon in 1950 (sic) Robert in 1953 and John in 1957(sic). Friends will be received at the Kenneth C. Turner Funeral Home, 500 Sixth St., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Funeral arrangements will be announced.
