  The Coshocton Tribune Saturday October 14, 1961 Mrs. Carl Wells, 41, died at 12:45 a.m. today at her home on Coshocton Route 2, following a short illness. Lois C. Porteus was born Aug. 12, 1920 near Coshocton, a daughter of Leslie and Iola Blair Porteus and was married Nov. 23, 1944 to Carl Wells, who survives. She was graduated from Coshocton high school in 1937 and from the Columbus Business college and was a member of the Franklin Methodist Church and the Franklin Grange. Survivors in addition to her husband and parents include four sons, John, Thomas, Joseph and Donald. all of the home; one sister, Mrs. Irene Buxton, Nellie and one brother, Blair Porteus, Route 2. One sister is deceased. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dawson funeral home in charge of Rev. Roy Farmer. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery.
