Mrs. Helen (Butler) Stafford of Carrollton, died early Thursday morning at her home following an extended illness. She has suffered a cerebral hemorrhage two years ago, from which she never fully recovered. Born in Carrollton, Mrs. Stafford was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Amanda (Huston) Butler and had spent her entire life in Carrollton. A graduate of Carrollton High School, she served as a deputy in the offices of Clerk of courts for many years. Survivors include her husband, Lee, two sons, Lee E. Jr. of Carrollton and Bill B., a student at Ohio University, Athens; one sister, Mrs. Elton Goerz of Cleveland and one brother, Charles Butler, with the Alliance Review newspaper, Alliance, and two grandchildren. Services were conducted Saturday from the Allmon Funeral Home with Rev. R. W. Shepherd officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
