  Carl E. Stafford, 73, of R. 2. Alden, died Monday at his home after an extended illness. The son of Alfred and jenny (Kennison) Stafford, he was born on April 10, 1903 in Kearney Twonship, Antrim County, and lived all his life in the Alden area. On Oct. 14, 1926, at Alden, he was married to Mazie Ebenstein who survives. Mr. Stafford was a self-employed farmer. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Lawrence of Alden and Rodney of Port Orchard, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Victor (Betty) Haller of Rapids City; 12 grandchildren, Four great-grandchildren, a brother, Leroy of Rapid City; a sister Mrs. Eli (Frena) Boudoin of Trout Lake; and other relatives......Burial will be in Helena Township Cemetery, Alden.
