Mildred, 84, of Mayville, passed away early Christmas Day at her home with her loving family at her side. Mildred was the daughter of the late George and Ellen (Robideau) Stafford.
She was a graduate of Flint Northern High School where she played on the basketball team. Micky was united in marriage with Clifford Barton on August 21, 1948 in Flint. He preceded her in death on August 9, 2002 after fifty-three years of marriage.
She married long time family friend Robert Sova in 2005 and they enjoyed five years together prior to his death.
In her early working career, Micky was employed at AC Sparkplug in Flint before she and Cliff moved to the home they built together on his grandparents farm in rural Mayville in 1966. She then worked thirty years at H&R Block in Caro.
Micky opened her home to all, and also enjoyed attending auctions and antiquing. Micky was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville.
Micky is survived by two daughters, Paulette and Mark Raymond of Carson City, Nevada, Victoria Barton of Mayville; step-daughters, Kim Sova and Gary Huffman of DesMoines, Iowa, and Becky Sova and David Grimm of Roscommon; her grandchildren, Leah Laveer and Benjamin Short of Broomfield, Colorado, Drew and Julie Raymond of Waynesville, Ohio, Luke Raymond of Fairbanks, Alaska, Elizabeth Barton of Petaluma, California, Alyssa Raymond of Corvallis, Oregon, Nathan Raymond and his fiancée, Dalicia Fennell, of Corvallis, Oregon; four great-grandsons, Andrew Lord, and Wyatt, Caleb, and Logan Raymond; a Godchild, Katherine Kopcinski and her son, Kolton; a sister, Shirley Campbell of Owosso; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Clifford and Robert; a son, Arthur Clifford Barton; a sister, Roberta Beers; and four brothers, George, Ervin, Albert and Kenneth Stafford.
