Shirley Ruth Willy, wife of William J. Willy, passed away and went home to be with her lord at the age of 87 years. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on November 11, 1921 to Harriet (Weston) and Ernest Stafford. Her mother passed away when she was two years old and her father passed away a few years later. She was adopted and raised by Zella and S. Roy Bricker in Saginaw. She graduated from Saginaw High School and attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. She married Mr. Willy on August 24, 1948. They moved to Green Valley in 1981 where she was a member of Valley Presbyterian Church. She was a volunteer at the Tucson Veterans Administration Hospital for 20 years, and was a past president of the Christian Women's Club of Green Valley. Mrs. Willy was also an organizing Regent of the Madera Canyon chapter of the DAR.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons, David (Terry) Willy, Arlinton Heights, Illnois; Paul (Linda) Willy, Rockford, MI; and Thomas (Susan) Willy, Monument Colorado; seven granchildren, Wendy Beck, Eric, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, Colin and Tyler Willy; three great-grandchildren, Trinity, Corwin and Evan; four brothers, Kenneth, Darwin and Calvin Stafford and Donald Bricker. She was predeceased by a son, Bricker Dan Willy.
