Lillian W. Smith, 96, passed away Friday morning, February 13, 2015, in University Nursing Center, Upland. She was born in Terre Haute, the daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel (Stafford) Lawhorn.
In 1937, she graduated from Arthur Hill High School, Saginaw Michigan.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church, Saginaw, Michigan, where she was active in the church as a Sunday school teacher for 50 years and sang in the church choir.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Richard) Deneau, Gaston; three grandchildren, Stacey (William) Lape, Brian (Meredith) Deneau, and Linda (Anthony) Manganello; and six great grandchildren, Alycia, Alex, Mallory, Jonathan, Lucy and Sophia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Smith, on January 11, 1972. Graveside Service: Noon Tuesday, February 17, 2015, Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw, Michigan
