  From Saginaw News Courier obituary July 19, 1921: Mrs. Mabel B. Brickel, wife of Charles J. Brickel, died Monday at Saginaw General Hospital. She was born in Saginaw July 24, 1885, and has always lived here. She is survived by her husband and five children, Harriet, Lillian, Genevieve, Josephine, and Charles Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. George Hainer and Mrs. Peter Moeller of Flint and Mrs. Thomas Gilbert of Saginaw and two brothers; James Crandall of Saginaw and William Crandall of Fosters....burial in Forest Lawn.. Daughter of Charles Crandall and Harriet Ostrander
