  STAFFORD, Diane L., age 84 of Walled Lake and Drummond Island, MI, was born on March 2, 1929 in Plainwell, Michigan to Lloyd L. and Wilma Catherine (nee: Hill) Brown. She died September 1, 2013. Mrs. Stafford is the beloved wife of 32 years to the late Bernie Stafford (d. 1983), loving mother of Cathy (Jack) Miles and Bernie (Cindy Lee) Stafford, loving grandmother of Jason Miles, Evan (Laurel) Miles, Andrea (Scott) McKillops, Elisabeth (Trevor) Zimmerman, Ashley (Cass) Furst, and Andrew Stafford, great-grandmother of Ella, Grace, Charlotte, and Abigail. She is also survived by numerous friends.  Mrs. Stafford graduated from Western Michigan University and later obtained her Master's Degree from Eastern Michigan University. She was also an oboist at Interlochen Center for the Arts for several years.
