COOKEVILLE –Funeral services for Arbie Gentry, 66, will be held Tuesday, August 25, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home with Bro. Clarence DeLoach officiating and burial following in the Crest Lawn Cemetery.
A native of Jackson County, Mr. Gentry died Saturday, August 22, 1981, in Cookeville General Hospital after an extended illness. He was the son of the late Henderson Brown Gentry and Polly Jane Chaffin Gentry. He was a veteran of World War II. (Pvt. US Army WWII).
Survivors include his wife, Iva C. Stafford Gentry of Cookeville; one sister, Miss Lillie Opal Gentry of Cookeville; three brothers, Billy P. Gentry and Charlie Gentry, both of Coalinga, CA; and Herbert Gentry of Bakersfield, CA.
