BIG STONE GAP, Va. ? Judith Farley Edmonds, 60, passed away Tuesday (Oct. 9, 2007) in Roanoke, Va.
She was born Nov. 15, 1946 in Bristol and was the daughter of the late William Campbell and Mary Stafford Edmonds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Campbell Slemp Edmonds.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Nancey Edmonds and Dr. James Smith of Frankfort, Ky.; aunt and uncle, Jane Edmonds and James Preston of Roanoke; nieces, Melissa Jensen of Frankfort, Ky., Mary Anna Edmonds of Wilmington, N.C., and Ann Altizer of Abingdon, Va.; nephews, James Campbell Smith of Lexington, Ky. and Warren Preston of High Point, N.C.; cousins, Barbara Stafford, Mary Stafford and Elizabeth Stafford of Pearisburg, Va.; and good friend, Tina Bain of Radford, Va.
Services were held on Oct. 11, 2007 at the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford, Va., where Judy sang in the choir.
Graveside services will be conducted by Pastor Tony Ramsey at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Slemp Cemetery in Turkey Cove, Lee County, Va. Family and friends will meet at the church at 1:30 p.m. Saturday to proceed to cemetery.
