John Junior Stafford, 89, of C T Snidow Road, Narrows, departed this life for his heavenly home, Friday morning, January 13, 2012 at Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg after a long illness. Born in Princeton, WV on December 2, 1922, he was a son of the late Burke Banks and Annie Neice Stafford. He was a member of Bethel Chapel, a graduate of Pembroke High School, was retired from the Celanese Plant as a Supervisor with forty-three years service, and was one of the first TV repairmen in the area. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Elizabeth (Pig) Williams Stafford, his brothers Emory, Ed, and Willard Stafford and his sisters Margie Sadler and Katherine Morris.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Peggy (Darlene) Taylor Stafford; his son John Willard and his wife Pam Stafford of Ripplemead; his grandchildren Michael Dewayne Stafford of Dublin and Lisa Martin of Narrows; his great-grandchildren Kelly N. Martin and Paige Martin; his daughter-in-law Virginia Mae Bland Stafford of Narrows; his step-children Steve Davenport of Yorktown, Cheryl Hearns of Petersburg, and Mark Davenport of Florida.
