Lyda Croy McCoy, 86, of McCoy, entered in eternal rest to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 1, 1997, at her home. Born in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Brady Clifton and Lonnie Jordan Stafford Croy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Griffen McCoy and a son, Eddie Pat McCoy. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Audrey M. and Waldo “Bo" Albert, McCoy; a daughter-in-law, Nancy T. McCoy, Christiansburg; four grandchildren, Teresa K. McCoy, Sherry A. Dodson, Ramona M. Scott and Pam A. Burrell; six great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary C. and Oakley A. Lilly, Christiansburg, Pauline C. McCoy, McCoy; one brother and sister-in-law, John David and Elva Croy, Burelson, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Jewel D. Croy and Racheal S. McCoy, both of McCoy. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 1997, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. William “Billy" Wells and the Rev. Ellis Meredith officiating. Interment will follow in the McCoy Family Cemetery, McCoy. Memorial contributions may be made to Gentle Shepherd Hospice, 4040 Franklin Rd., S.W., Roanoke, Va. 24014. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
