DAVIS, ZELLIE STAFFORD BRIDGES
A grandmother and great-grandmother and resident of Denham Springs, she died at 7 p.m. Monday, March 29, 1999, at Summit Hospital. She was 79 and a native of Kentwood. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at Bethel Baptist Church, Kentwood, 10 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Tom Adams, the Rev. Terry Booth and the Rev. Gerald Martin. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Kentwood. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ouida and Marvin Grace, Denham Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Dolores Bridges, Kentwood, and Claude and Mary Bridges , Watson; three sisters, Gladys Adams, Baton Rouge, and Ouida Anthume and Evelyn Scroggs, both of Bogalusa; a brother, the Rev. Levelle Stafford, Kansas City, Kan.; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Preceded in death by parents, Hessie and Bertha Crockett Stafford; and husbands, Norman Bridges and Voy Davis. She was a member of Amite Baptist Church, Denham Springs and the Council on Aging.

Davis was a member of Amite Baptist Church, Denham Springs and a member of the Council on Aging. Davis is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Ouida and Marvin Grace of Denham Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Dolores Bridges of Kentwood and Claude and Mary Bridges of Watson; three sisters, Gladys Adams of Baton Rouge, Ouida Anthume of Bogalusa; and Evelyn Scroggs of Bogalusa; one brother, Rev Levelle Stafford of Kansas City, KS; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Hessie and Bertha Crockett Stafford; and her husbands, Norman Bridges and Voy Davis. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home today from 5 pm until 9 pm and tomorrow from 10 am until 1 pm at Bethel Baptist Church, Kentwood. Funeral service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church tomorrow at 1 p m with the Rev Tom Adams, the Rev Terry Booth and the Rev Gerald Martin officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Kentwood.
