  Education: Att. Low Gap Sch. & Bailey Sch. Gil. Co. WV Garnet and Howard met while they were both working at New Castle State Hospital. They were married by a JP by the name of Benjamin J. Fannin, at New Castle, IN Howard lost a thumb while cutting firewood when he was a young man. On 11 Mar, 1961 he lost part of two fingers while at work at New Castle State Hospital.
