Beatrice Stafford Curtis, 98, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Camden Place, Greensboro, NC.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at The Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 6103 Appromattox Road, Climax, NC 27233. Officiating will be Rev. A. C. Brock.
Mrs. Curtis was born in Martinsville, VA on July 31, 1916 to the late Lee Allen and Clora Sumner Stafford. Beatrice received her Bachelor's Degree in Education and taught at Pleasant Garden and Summerfield Elementary Schools. She also taught Sunday School classes at Summerfield United Methodist Church, where was a member for 60 years and part of the Choir, she later became a member of The Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Climax, NC. Mrs. Curtis liked to Square Dance and was a member of the Smith Fairview Sr. Citizens Club, The Craft Friendly Center Citizen's Club and the Greensboro Social Club.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Curtis was preceded in death by her husband Edward Hal Curtis.
Survivors include her son, John Randolph Curtis and his wife Lee Anne Curtis of Climax, NC; Grandchildren, John Kenneth Curtis (Mindy) of Sherrills Ford, NC, Tamara Curtis Welch (Barry) of Asheboro, NC, and Richard K. Lindstedt of Chapel Hill, NC; Great-grandchildren, Allie Curtis, Maggie Curtis, Lillie Curtis, Brady Curtis, Scott Lindstedt and Robert Lindstedt.
