  Funeral for Mrs. A. J. Stafford Special to the Observer Wadesboro, March 18,--- The funeral services in memory of Mrs. A. J. Stafford, were held at the Methodist church yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the pastor of the church, Rev. J. H. West. Mrs. Stafford died in Spartanburg, SC, Wednesday and the remains were brought here for burial in Eastview Cemetery. Mrs. Stafford was 75 years old, and was before her marriage Miss Parthenia Beverly, a sister of Mrs. J. A. Crowder of Wadesboro. Mrs. Stafford was married to Rev. A. J. Stafford a number of years during his pastorate in this city. Mr. Stafford died a two weeks ago yesterday at Spartanburg, and his remains were brought here for burial. After the services at the church, the body of Mrs. Stafford was laid away beside that of her husband in the Crowder lot at the cemetery.
