  Lillie Mae Stafford Brower, 88, died on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010 at Anson Community Hospital. Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, by the graveside in Anson Memorial Park with Rev. Ronnie Stewart officiating. The family greeted friends Thursday, Aug. 19, from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home. Lillie was born March 31, 1922 in Chesterfield County, S.C., a daughter of the late Henry Harrison and Sara Frances Purvis Stafford. She was a member of North Wadesboro Baptist Church and was retired from Little Cotton Mill. Surviving are her daughter, Julie Jenkins of Wadesboro; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; and four nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her son, Roy Rogers Brower and by her sisters and brother, Viola Stafford Ussery, Mammie Stafford Hudson, Rachel Stafford Cowuick, Rosa Stafford Atkinson and John Henry Stafford.
