Roy Rogers Brower
WADESBORO -- Mr. Brower, 58, died Monday, February 7, 2005 at his home.
There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2005 in Anson Memorial Park with Reverend Yvonne Hechler and Reverend Ronnie Stewart officiating.
The family will greet friends tonight (Tuesday) from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home.
He was born in Anson County, NC, June 5, 1946, a son of Lillie Stafford Brower of Wadesboro and the late George Thomas Brower. Roy was a member of Sandy Plains United Methodist Church in Morven, had worked with the Wadesboro Housing Authority, he and his wife had owned and operated a video store in Morven and he was a veteran of the United States Army.
Roy was very interested in the well-being of others in the community. He was instrumental in establishing a senior citizens meal site in Morven and was a nominee for WSOC's Nine Who Care Award.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cathy Adams Brower; his mother, Lillie Brower of Wadesboro; his sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Lee Jenkins of Wadesboro; his nephew, Lee Jenkins, Jr. of Wadesboro; his niece, Lillie Jarmon and husband, Tony of Monroe; and his great-nephew, Logan Jarmon of Monroe.
