  Black Mountain - Brenda Dianne Barker, 58 of Black Mountain passed away Friday, December 31, 2004 at Memorial Mission Hospital Campus.  A native of Buncombe County, she was the wife of Fred Wayne Barker and was the daughter of the late Thomas G. Stafford and Mary Lou Hurdt Stafford.  She was preceded in death by a brother; James Carl Stafford.  She was the light of her family, being a nurturing, energetic and a very vibrant person she knew no stranger. She loved children and the beach, was a former ceramic teacher and shop owner.
