Zella Mae Magdaline Stafford Neff, 82, took the hand of her Lord and went home on Friday, Dec. 26, 2003 at Mountain Area Hospice.
A native of Knox County, Tenn., she had lived most of her adult life in Buncombe County. She was a member of Clayton Avenue Baptist Church.
She was a daughter of the late Herman and Myrtle Stafford and wife of the late William B. Neff. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, five brothers and her son-in-law, Billy B. Harwood.
Surviving are her daughter, Georgia Harwood of Candler; sons, James Neff and his wife, Terri, of Black Mountain, Carl Neff of Asheville and Terry Neff and his wife, Kari, of Candler; sisters, Joan Cope of Bradenton, Fla., Gertie Robinette and Bobbie Wells, both of Chicago; brother, Clifford Stafford of Knoxville, Tenn.; 23 grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Clayton Avenue Baptist Church with the Revs. Bruce Robinson and T.A. Holder officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
Zella instilled strong Christian values in her family and will be forever loved and missed.
