  Mrs. Betty Rae Stafford Shackelford, 76, a resident of 500 Butler Drive, died Friday, January 9, 2015 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.  She was born in Guilford County, January 22, 1938 a daughter of Ray Stafford and Viola Arney Stafford and was a lifelong resident of the High Point and Thomasville area. She was of the Baptist faith.  She was the former owner and operator of Jamestown Health Food Store and was currently employed with the Assurance Group.  On February 15, 1958 she was married to Walter Lee Shackelford who survives of the home. Also surviving are a daughter, Vickie Shackelford Mitchell and her husband Mike of Thomasville; two sons, Edward Lee (Ed) Shackelford and his wife Beverly of Thomasville and Tony Shackelford of Thomasville; two sisters, Nancy Stafford Lyda of Winston Salem and Judy Stafford Bare and her husband Jerry of Trinity; a brother, Thomas Gene Stafford and his wife Alice of Denton. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Amber Rivera Curet and her husband Louis, Darrin Shackelford and his wife Kristie, Brittany Shackelford, Brooke Mitchell and her husband Jack, and Dustin Shackelford; five great-grandchildren, Destiny Graves, Orlando Rivera, Giovanna Curet, Jackson Mitchell, and Arianna Shackelford.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Faye Stafford and by a brother, Gary Arnold Stafford.  Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 AM at J.C. Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville by the Rev. Jerry Bare. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Source Citation: J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home
